We had to reschedule 4 times with all the travel restrictions and Renee was so unbelievably understanding and still so excited for us with each reschedule. On top of being so kind, organized, professional and all-round amazing to work with.. she has the most AMAZING voice and energy. “My now wife and I booked Miss Renee Simone for our wedding in October this year. With all of the ever changing restrictions around Covid, we were quite nervous as to what the atmosphere of the wedding would be like and whether we would be able to achieve a party vibe for the event. We could not have been happier with Renee and her band. Renee’s voice is absolutely incredible and made the ceremony and cocktail hour very intimate and special. Once the formalities were out of the way, Renee’s DJ set was perfect for our group of friends and the dance floor ended up being bloody loose! We are quite picky when it comes to music and Renee was great in understanding the vibe we wanted to create for different parts of the day and incorporated lots of the songs we sent through as a sample of our taste. She also gave us great recommendations for aisle songs, etc. So many of our guests have commented to us since the event how much they loved Renee’s music too! We also asked Bryon Bay Experience if they could help us find an African drummer to create a surprise experience for our guests. Our amazing drummer, Gabriel, accompanied by Renee on the decks, created the most amazing bridal entrance, getting everyone up on their feet and setting the tone for our the evening. “Highly recommended! Renee and her guitarist Cameron travelled to the Blue Mountains near Sydney and put on a wonderful show! First, Renee and Cameron did an amazing job at our ceremony (processional, music item during the signing of the registry and finally the recessional), then they performed a beautiful 1-hour live acoustic duet, followed by Renee's full DJ set throughout the reception - all up it was about 8 hours of fun! Lisa, who helped coordinate the booking for us, was also very accommodating, friendly and obliging, which made the preparation for the event stress-free and enjoyable. For me, aside from the obvious, the most important component of a good wedding is great music - and BBE delivered! It brought a tear to my eye to hear Love by Lana Del Rey sung in Renee's unique style, while respecting the original. The live set during the early part of the reception was gorgeous and the DJ set was pure fun! Renee even put up with our Eurovision insertions to the set list (not always everybody's taste) and kept us all dancing. My feet hurt the next day which is always a sign of a fun evening. Many people commented on the music at various intervals and the atmosphere created can not be undervalued. A very happy couple!”
